Sheila Etherington was born in Woodplumpton, near Preston and after training as a midwife and at Birmingham Bible Institute she went to Rwanda about 30 years ago to work with Free Methodist World Missions (www.fmwm.org). She is now an administrator at a hospital in Kibogora. Sheila was in Rwanda at the time of the genocide but was forced to leave. She worked amongst the refugees in Goma but then returned to Rwanda to rebuild the hospital which had suffered considerable destruction and had lost many of its staff. More information about Kibogora can be found at www.kibogora.org |
