Today we are asking that people join us in praying for Danial Scholes who is a young boy who's family used to attend the Fulwood Church and still have very strong family connections.

Esther, his mum, writes, yesterday:

"For those who do not know the family and would like specifics, we live in Morecambe and are planting a church, while Richard works as a dairy engineer. We have five children - Isaac (8), Daniel and Joel (6), Levi (2) and Eva (brand new!). Daniel went into hospital in mid-January with double vision, and scans of his organs show that there is a growth or inflammation on his brain and lungs that multiple consultants cannot diagnose, despite many samples and tests being taken and sent round this country and several others. His immunity and blood count keep fluctuating, his temperatures are irregular and he is becoming more lethergic and losing appetite. Richard is staying with him in Manchester (about 60 miles away) while Esther is at home with the other children.

The news from the consultants today is that the unknown material in Daniel's lungs and brain is starting to spread, and they can only experiment with a few ideas, starting with steroids, to see if anything happens.

As well as Daniel's health, it is obviously heartbreaking that he and Richard have only been able to see Eva a handful of times since her birth, and we have no idea how long Daniel will have to stay in hospital. We do not know how Richard can keep his job, and how we will lead the church if the situation stays the same (or gets worse) so if you could pray for all these things, that would be great."

Please join us in taking time today to pray.
